im doing my eagle scout project for my school. i want to build a gazebo in our trial gardens by our ag/hort complex but i don’t know if i need a permit or not. If its any help, the school is Derry Area High School in Derry Pa Westmoreland County.

Yes, if you are building it on the school grounds – there has to be a document of liability in case you hurt anybody or harm the school grounds. Now, if you build it some other place and then transport it to the school, nah, you don’t need the building permit.
