I’m looking for advice, pictures, or instructional websites.
I’ve just moved into a great rented villa here in Seoul that has a large private rooftop with a concrete foundation. I’m imagining a barbeque, picnic table, sunchairs, etc, but need to fashion some sort of roof as well.

If you build a wooden type structure you’re building foundation may not be able to handle the extra weight load, not to mention any permits you may need and the cost.
I’ve seen on some design shows where they have strung canvas across areas of roof patios. They were long triangle sail shaped and made in different colors. This adds shaded areas and open areas. It’s much easier to attach some poles to your roof than a permanent structure.

I am building a shed and am having issues with the roof. Where can i find a video or step by step instructions on how to build a roof frame and or how to build a roof. the shed is 8′x10′. I love pictures, for some reason I find it easier to look at a picture and re-create it, than by following written instruction.
I am trying to make a V-Line roof.

go to lowes or home depot and buy a book on shed constructing (less then $ 20) that will give you step by step instuctions and yes it has pictures

I have rebuilt a breezeway between the house and garage, replacing the A roof with a shed roof. How do I finish off the last row of shingles at the top of the shed roof? Do I simply tar it to excess? Is there a cap of some kind I can buy? Is there a special piece of flashing to finish this off? I know this needs to be sealed to keep wind from pealing the top layer of shingles off and to keep any/all rain out from underneath the shingles.

There is 2 ways u can do it. 1- Buy some nice caps for the top. 2. Use the same shingles, cut it into 3-pieces and overlap them to form a cap.

Its a 12 x 12 shed with 1/2 in plywood roof panels. I never did a roof before. What will I need, and how is it done? Bottom to top?, top downward? Also theres a slight gap at the roof peak where the plywood panels meet. Any help appreciated.

Well, first you need to install a roofing underlayment. like 15lb roof felt. then you’ll need to install drip edge or the eave metal, this goes around the entire perimeter. Then you can install the shingles… the wrappers have the installation directions on them. You will need approx. 5 bundles of shingles, and a bundle of ridge cap for the top peek. I would guess that the gap at the peek of the roof is for a roof vent or ridge ventilation.
