How much room does a 10×8 storage shed have? now obviously we cant be wrestling around in it, but do you think thats enough room for 3 teenagers to hang out and watch tv and stuff? ( is this how big those rent a storage sheds are?

there are a lot of variables that you did not list, but in my area you can except to pay $ 12.00 or more a square foot for a turn key job.

We are considering buying a hot tub! In order to get it, we need to build a level patio or deck to place it on! We want to go the cheapest route possible, but also want it to look good and last long! The area we want the deck/patio is 12 feet by 9 feet (may do 12×12, depending on price difference)! Keep in mind there will be a lot of weight on it!
Would we be better off with treated wood? Do we actually need to cement posts in the ground and build a deck on that, or would we be ok with a wood frame directly on the ground and building on that?
What about pouring cement or bricks or cement blocks? Keep in mind we will be doing this ourselves and aren’t the best of handpersons, but we can do basic work.
So based on lower cost and average skill what would be the best route? Any details would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
One more thought too, with concrete, how thick should we make it?

We are fortunate to have a large backyard, which already includes a nice-sized covered patio (We live in TX, so the shade from the cover is much appreciated!). With the exception of a pool or a trampoline, what would you do with a large backyard for either adults or children (we have 2 girls- ages 1 and 4). Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I am writing a short story; no need for a morality check. I would like to be as accurate as possible. Also, the shed isn’t completely sealed, as it is old and rickety; the carbon monoxide would seep out a bit.

Yes it would. I forget which state it was but there was a family who couldn’t afford there heating bill so they decided it would be a good idea to heat the house with a charcoal grill. That night the deadly CO killed their whole family including 2 small children.
